Vice Chairman-
Message of Greetings
Our goal is to ensure the rights to life and dignity for every human being. Every citizen has the right to fair justice, protection from torture and inhuman treatment, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and access to healthcare, education, and a decent standard of living. Ensuring these fundamental rights is not only the responsibility of individual nations but a global obligation that demands recognition and implementation worldwide.
Japan-Bangladesh Human Rights (JBHR) has been working tirelessly since its inception to realize these core objectives. We believe that human rights can only be ensured through a society built on the foundation of equality. The ongoing unrest both nationally and internationally poses a threat to humanity—hunger, poverty, inequality, and violence are on the rise, compelling us to reflect and act with renewed urgency.
To build a healthy society, the fulfillment of basic human needs—food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education—is essential. In addition, employment, fair wages, social security, and the rights of women and children are all considered fundamental human rights. While the state bears the primary responsibility for safeguarding these rights, individuals, organizations, and society at large must also actively contribute.
Japan-Bangladesh Human Rights has always embraced this responsibility, conducting various awareness-raising and support initiatives to promote and protect human rights. We hope that in the coming days, our activities will expand further and become even more effective, paving the way for a more just and humane society.
